  19. Kermit does have very powerful scripting and built-in functions so that
  20. it is possible to easily build a script to decode captured input.

  22. My first major Kermit script was a state machine for doing electronic
  23. tax lodgements (in 1989). It turned out to be surprisingly easy.

  25. In short, if you know the format of the data you are logging over a
  26. serial link, Kermit scripts can decode it.
